I guess I will be going to see Nana tomorrow or Wednesday. I thought it would be a couple of weeks, but we found out today that I can go.
We had also been back and forth about me driving to WI to see Dave or just flying up there. I figured if he's working 7 days a week, he didn't need me in the hotel with him the whole time. So we had just decided that I would fly up there and stay a week and then ride home with him when he comes home to help me move. Now he's changed his mind again, the wishy washiness is driving me INSANE. Who knows what we will do.....
Welcome

Life Songs
There are so many songs that take me back in time.
Chattahoocie -Alan Jackson, When I hear this song, I think about driving around Winnsboro, and all over the parish, with my friend Shannon. The most memorable time was when we were all hanging out at Big Creek in Mangham. I don't need to go into details but if you were there, you remember.
Jack and Diane- John Mellancamp, Everytime Katherine and I got in the car in Baton Rouge, we heard this song, and I still think about that.
I like big butts- Sir Mixalot, This song reminds me of Wendy, and especially of when we were in NO, for my bachelorette party, and she gets on stage at Razoo and dances to this song. We had so much fun!!!
I'll Think of a Reason Later- LeeAnn Womack- Again everytime I hear this song I think of Kat. We always had people we could fit in the song.
Sorry Ms. Jackson, Say I Yi Yi, Whistle while you twerk, These all make me think of my friends, Kat, Annie, and Karen. We always did such fun stuff, like that impulsive trip to Mardi Gras, it was the best ever. The impulsive trip to the Cotton Bowl when LSU played UT, those are memories that are forever emblazoned in my memory.
Papa loved Mama - Garth Brooks, I'll never forget this song had been out for almost a year. Mom and I were going to visit family in Cabot. This song came on the radio and she had that "aha" moment. She finally had figured out what the song was talking about and it was funny to her.
Prop me up beside the Jukebox- Joe Diffie Shannon, Bubs, and I were riding around in my little red car. I'm sure we were supposed to have been in Monroe at NLU, but there is no telling where we were. This song came on and we were all three just a singing. Shannon and I were both quiet for a minute and we were listening to Bubs sing and we hear "Lock me up inside the jukebox if I die". That was the funniest thing.
Boot Scootin Boogie- Brooks and Dunn - This was another of mine and Shannon's songs that proved to be not so great for us one night. We had gone to church, but had to make that one loop around town. Of course we saw people we knew, so we had to stop. When we got back in the car, we turned up our music and were on our way. But not for very long, cause somewhere in the not so distant future was a lightpole that did a lot of damage to Mom's car. It was quite a spectacle!!!!!
Making Memories-Keith Urban This is the song that was played at David's and my wedding. I think about our life together and how much my life has changed since I have met him. It makes me smile just to think about it.
This is just a sampling of my many life songs.
